What is Cricket Wagon Wheel and History

Wagon Wheel is also known as fighting shot placement. It's a visual representation of the field, particularly in at the highest point.

From the angle of the batsman's body lines are drawn out towards the field. These lines represent the path of the balls batted by the batter.

There are numerous advantages of making use of this Wagon Wheel. If one looks at the diagram, it is possible to see which area of the field a batsman is on a regular basis.

Cricket Scoring

Traditionally, the scorebook does not recording the ball that it is that the player faces. The 19th century saw the beginning of a system of scoring that is linear was developed.

It records the balls that are thrown by the player. In the 1890's, JG Jackschon devised a separate memo along with the score sheet for tracking every batsman.

Additional details must be documented, which is why the wagon wheels were required.

These charts are created to identify the part of the field the shot that scored was taken. This is advantageous when the batman hits the ball.

Applications that use Wagon Wheel

There are numerous applications available today that include Wagon Wheel along with other useful cricket tools but I really feel the CricHeroes app is the boss of the all app for Grassroots cricket, it provides many features for FREE and also provides a Wagon wheel(with a small amount) features also.

There are Wagon Wheels which are color coded and show the exact representation of every shot made by the batsmen during a match.

It is better to use the applications available rather than make everything from scratch.
